What a wonderful day we all had

What a beautiful brand this is.  We were blown away by the reaction to our MAKE Skincare Event at the weekend.  Mary Temperley (sister of Alice, the fashion designer) travelled up from Somerset to launch some new additions to the collection including an oil based cleanser, eye cream, lip balm and new gift sets.  The range is going to be launched into Peter Jones in Sloane Street this week but we were lucky enough to have stock before anyone else.

MAKE Skincare is founded on the principle that what you apply to your skin should be good enough to eat with no artificial perfumes, colours, parabens or plastics, sodium laureth or formaldehyde based ingredients.  The entire range is suitable for the most sensitive of skins as well as very dry skin.

It wouldn’t have been a W&M event without some food and drink (see previous post for details of liquid refreshment) and here’s a taster of Clive’s nibbly bits (a pea and feta frittata and soft blue cheese with Christmas chutney on rye bread crackers). If you’re a keen cook we can strongly recommend Elly Pear’s Fast Days and Feast Days recipe book which contains the frittata recipe, the best we’ve ever eaten.
