A glorous day, just like the weather when we opened 10 years ago. Before I forget, we raised over £300 for Dora’s shelter in Romania so thank you to everyone who bought a raffle ticket, the money is going to an excellent cause. The winner of the weekend in Devon (chosen by the last customer of the day out of the hat) was a lady called Joanna who had been made redundant the day before so that was really lovely.
We never get complacant when it comes to an event and we never know how it is going to turn out. We’re delighted to say we had a fabulous turnout last Saturday so THANK YOU to each and every one of you who popped in to have a shop, either in person or by way of mail order.
I think it was one of the hottest days we’ve had for a long time, it was a lot cooler inside the shop than outside. A glass of cold fizz and a few tasty titbits went down well along with a few other treats.
It wouldn’t be a proper birthday event with cake would it? These utterly delicious cupcakes were made by one of our customers, Camilla. Featherlight and very decadent. YUM
A final photo of all of us as we wave goodbye to the wonderful Katherine who is leaving us after 9 years to welcome a new arrival of her own, a baby! A bit of silliness on the hot front because why not?
