We’ve just received a top up denim delivery from MosMosh so we thought a flatlay was in order. An alpaca/wool blend Harris Wilson sweater has just arrived in a very pale blush colourway with slight sparkle detail. £125.00 Cropped and very soft. We’ve paired it with a pair of these fabulous embroidered suede boots and a pair of jeans from MosMosh. The boots are £135.00 and will be just as useful next Spring we think.
The first Sunday in quite a while where we didn’t have to climb onto our bikes and go for a lengthy training ride, HURRAH. We decided to recreate a dish from my childhood, Nasi Goreng. Basically an Indonesian fried rice dish to which we added pork and prawns. It’s not complicated and here are the bones of the recipe
1 jar Nasi Goreng spice mix (available for Waitrose or specialist asian food stores)
Cold cooked basmati rice
2 x onions
2 x cloves garlic
Additions of your choice i..e chicken, pork or prawns
Saute onioins and garlic in olive oil until transparent, add extras such as green pepper if you fancy, and also whatever extra meat or fish you fancy. Saute then add NG spice mix. When the meat or fish is cooked, add cooked rice and stir. Season to taste, top with an egg and voila. Great with chopped fresh vegeatables such as tomatoes, cucumber, spring onions and prawn crackers. Sweet soy sauce (Ketjap Manis) is especially nice with this dish too and if you like your dishes spicy, add in extra fresh chopped chilli.
A skirt with pockets, lovely. The print’s not too bad either….there’s very little not to like about this outfit. We’ve paired this Anonyme grey print skirt with a berry coloured sweater from the same brand. Nice to find a knit with tie detail around the neck.
Both the sweater and skirt are available in sizes XS-XL (roughly translated as 8-14). You could wear both pieces in lots of different ways. The skirt would look great with a denim jacket, t-shirt and trainers for a more casual look. You could wear ankle or long boots with it too. The knit would look just as nice with a pair of black trousers or with blue denim. Katherine is 5.9 which will give you an idea of skirt length.
Don’t forget we do mail order so just give us a bell on 01428 641771 for further details. Both pieces retail for £79.95 each.

There are some of you who really love this skinny style. It’s back in stock for the new season in a flattering dark blue denim. A mid-rise and very comfortable fit with zipper detail at the back. Now in stock in a selection of sizes, £90.00
3 months of training and then the BIG ride yesterday, London to Brighton 2017. Clive and I left Clapham Common shortly before 7.00 a.m. for the 54 mile challenge. The weather gods were kind to us, no rain and no wind, YAAY. What a a day and what a sense of achievement when you finally hit the finishing line. Clive left me for dust and finished the ride in about 5 hours, I managed an acceptable 6 hours (just thankful I finished in one piece to be honest).
So much money raised for good causes and we’d just like to thank anyone who has donated or supported us during the last weekend. It’ll be good to get back to normal service on our day off. I did however climb back on my bike this morning to cycle to work and why not? A bit stiff but no major problems to report.
Don’t forget Ziggy, our Haslemere Hog, is the star of a raffle in-store to raise more money for Alzheimers and the Hunter Centre in Haslemere. Each square is £10.00. We’ll be announcing the winner when all the squares are sold. Good luck.
It’s the season for velvet. Forget double denim we’re doing triple velvet. Velvet boots (in dark navy with a tinge of teal) paired with navy velvet jeans from MosMosh and a velvet blazer from SaintTropez in a rich dusty green colourway. The colours all work together we think.
The blazer will look just as good next Spring with a white t-shirt, sneakers and jeans.
